People who work with me successfully tend to be in these situations:

Having a health issue is new for you. You’ve enjoyed good health most of your life, but now all of a sudden you are developing health issues.  You want to explore natural options before going down the medical route because you’re concerned about the potential side effects of pharmaceutical medications.  You’d prefer to see if you can really heal rather than just putting on a band-aid to control your symptoms.

Your illness is flaring up again. You’ve been struggling with health issues for a while.  You’ve seen doctors, maybe taken medications, and developed strategies to keep things under control.  But now things are flaring up again, or you’ve developed a new issue, and you feel you need a new approach.

You have a mysterious constellation of symptoms that no one seems to understand. You’ve been feeling sick for a while and your doctor, despite having good intentions, has no idea what is wrong. Their proposed treatments are only going to provide temporary symptom relief with the risk of side effects, or worse, they are starting to give your the impression it’s all in your head. You’re feeling frustrated and don’t know where to turn.

You don’t have a medical diagnosis. However, recently you just don’t have the vitality you used to.  You feel tired, rundown, and your body aches.  Maybe your digestion and appetite have started to go off, too.  Your doctor says its just aging, but you're not that old yet!  You feel like there must be something you can do to feel well again and age more gracefully.

You are proactive and already trying a bunch of things. You’ve researched your condition, and are possibly already seeing an acupuncturist or other health practitioner. You’ve read books and articles and made changes to your diet and lifestyle, possibly also trying out herbs and supplements.  You’ve been encouraged by some results, but for all the effort you are putting in, your progress is slow.  All the conflicting information out there is confusing, and you’re not sure what to do next.

You are looking for adjunct therapies to support your medical treatment or surgery.  You trust the expertise of your medical team, but you want to know what else you can do concurrently to increase the efficacy of your treatment.  You want to minimize side effects and stay as strong and vital as possible as you undergo your medical treatment.

You are going through a really stressful time.  Maybe you are a new parent, or going through divorce, or something is happening at work.  You’re feeling exhausted, anxious, have trouble sleeping, and other health issues are cropping up.  You need some support to get you through this difficult time.

 My approach works for:

  • men, women, children, and the elderly

  • People already taking medications and those who have never taken a medication in their life

  • People with a medical diagnosis and those with a mysterious undiagnosed condition

  • People wanting to live a natural lifestyle, whether that means eating organic, enjoying the outdoors, or taking herbs and supplements to stay healthy

  • People already benefitting from acupuncture, naturopathy, osteopathy, massage, or other complementary health care modalities

  • People in the second half of life who want to prevent or slow chronic health issues associated with aging

My most successful patients tend to share the following values:

  • You believe in the healing power of nature:  Whether it’s grounding walks in the forest, or tending a few potted plants, you’ve had some experience of the restorative power of nature and want to take this further.

  • You view life as a journey of learning

  • You like discovering new things about yourself.  This includes looking at how your habits, patterns, and beliefs could be contributing to your health issue.

  • You are willing to make incremental change to move towards a larger health goal, even if it is slowly through small steps.
